Who is a Hosted Buyer?
Simply put, Hosted Buyers are the stars of the show. They are recognized as professional buyers of meetings and events within the industry including professionals who work as:
- Senior level corporate meeting planners
- Association, Non-Profit, Governmental meeting planners
- In-house travel managers
- Conference organizers
- Event Organizers
- Venue finding specialists
- Incentive houses
- Business travel agencies
How do I qualify?
Each Hosted Buyer application will be reviewed by an independent panel of industry experts. The qualifying criteria that are considered include (but not limited to):
- The number and size of meetings, events, incentives and conferences held annually
- Your individual purchasing authority
- Annual budgets for meetings, events and incentives
- Potential for future business in the meetings industry.
Please Note: Most U.S. buyers will be required to do business outside of their home state in order to qualify as a Hosted Buyer at AIBTM.
All Hosted Buyer applications will be scrutinized by our external qualifier using the information supplied on the application form, websites, and other sources of information. In some instances a follow-up call will be made. AIBTM reviews each applicant on its own merits and will make the final decision as to whether or not to host a buyer.
