Who is a Hosted Buyer?
Simply put, Hosted Buyers are the stars of the show. They are recognized as professional buyers of meetings and events within the industry including professionals who work as:
- Senior level corporate meeting planners
- Association, Non-Profit, Governmental meeting planners
- In-house travel managers, procurement and strategic sourcing executives
- Conference organizers
- Event Organizers
- Venue finding specialists
- Incentive houses
- Business travel agencies
Criteria for Meetings/Events/Incentives:
- The number and size of purchased meetings, events, incentives, conferences etc held annually
- Your individual purchasing authority within your organization
- Annual budgets for meetings, events and incentives business
- Potential for future business in the U.S. meetings industry
Criteria for Business Travel:
- Number of travel management contracts negotiated annually and/or renewable in the future
- Amount of consolidated company spend and volume of transactions in various categories (air, hotel, transportation, expense management, travel management, etc.)
- Your individual purchasing authority within your organization
- Number of domestic vs. international contracts negotiated
Please Note: Most U.S. buyers will be required to do business outside of their home state in order to qualify as a Hosted Buyer at AIBTM.
All Hosted Buyer applications will be scrutinized by our external qualifier using the information supplied on the application form, websites, and other sources of information. In some instances a follow-up call will be made. AIBTM reviews each applicant on its own merits and will make the final decision as to whether or not to host a buyer.
